The design direction was intentional throughout. Cinematic and epic in scale, honoring the galactic atmosphere of the original Mario Galaxy games while pushing the character ensemble into premium movie marketing territory. Hidden Easter eggs are embedded throughout the key art for fans who look closely. The campaign extends across seven distinct environments showing where this key art would realistically live if Nintendo and Illumination greenlit it as official marketing material.
